Restore Me

Restore Me!

Time and time again it appears that I am going backwards instead of forwards.  People believe that I am losing ground instead of gaining.  But the exact opposite is true.  I do not go backwards because I am lonely or feeling lost, I go backwards to see how much I have gained.  God pulled me away to give me clarity and strength.  I wanted to stay away, no longer needing to go back.  But I heard Him tell me it was time.  You cannot gain strength by running away or trying to ignore what you believed was holding you back.  You have to face it head on, be strong and let Jesus pull you through.  When you clear your mind and begin to listen to Him who lives in your heart, amazing things begin to happen.  Jesus tells us to ask, and it shall be given.  Seek and it shall be found.  Knock and the doors will be opened.  Just trust HIM!!!  He knows what is best for my life. God has brought many new individuals into my life that I am so very grateful for.  What they may not realize, is that through them, God gave me clarity and my eyes were opened.  I finally accepted something that was in my heart that I needed to let go.  By letting go, I am now able to face the things that I had been running from.  I can now face the challenges that the world brings into my life.  I am now ready to let someone into my life that wants to truly be there.  No more settling for being the "fall-back" woman.  I deserve to be first choice!
Let me explain, two years ago a gentleman had entered my life and three weeks ago, I realized just how much I had truly cared for him.  This man, I would have followed, this man had captured a piece of my heart that I did not realize that he had.  However, this man never truly wanted to build a relationship with me, even though he said one time he did.  After not hearing from him for almost six months, he sent me a text.  Apparently during the months of non-communication, he moved to Kentucky.  I did not know this until out of the blue he sent me a text. After a week of talking, nothing. Then three weeks ago, he began texting me again.  Ironically, this man always seems to enter back into my life when someone else enters in.  What I had come to realize three weeks ago, is that if he would have asked me to go with him, I would have gone in a heart beat. That what others believed I had felt for another gentleman, was truly just a camouflage of what I felt for him.  However, I would not myself had realized this, had I not stepped away from certain things in my life.       God is truly patient and AWESOME.  For there is someone new, who has entered my life and we are in the building process to see where it will go.  I do have to say, that I am extremely cautious and taking things slowly.  Thoughts of him make me smile each day,  The more we talk and spend time together, the more I am comfortable with allowing my guard to come down.  One that I did not know that I had, until I recently discovered it.  We are allowing God to lead us.  Discovering were He intends to take us.

Jesus, Restore Me Once Again.
He may not be here walking the earth,
but He watches over me from above.
He does not judge me, He loves me just the way I am.
With all my faults, my negatives thoughts and the inner hurt of loss.
My burdens, He takes them over.
Life He said would not always be easy
But trusting in Him, eases life.
Worldly gain, is not what I seek
For worldly gain makes the soul weak.
I seek strength in His knowledge,
His wisdom and truth.
I seek what others say you cannot feel.
I seek after the One who is real.
His heart is pure, His love is true
Always carry me each day through
The trials that come, the joy that flows
What lies ahead of me, only He truly knows.
When I am lost and cannot find my way
He finds me and keeps me from going astray.
He turns me around, puts straight my path
Giving me guidance, that forever will last.
For when I am in need of restoration
Every time He restores me
With His precious gift of salvation.
So how can I not treat others
With kindness and love.
When from the moment I was born
He has blessed me from above.
When many felt the loss
On that day on Calvary.
For me, my soul was saved
For over evil, He gained Victory.
With His unconditional love
He is my forever friend.
My soul is forever yours
Jesus, restore me once again.

My goal is to begin writing in my blog more frequently.  To use it for practicing my new writing skills that I am learning in English 102.  Wish me luck as I write my Toulmin essay due Tuesday.  Another blessing that God bestowed because it was originally due today!  He does answer our prayers, sometimes we just do not have our eyes and ears opened to realize it.  Do not be afraid, Jesus is always with you.  Jesus is my Savior and my best friend, He is waiting for you to let Him in.  Just call upon His name, He will come.  Jesus!

My youngest son graduated on May 17, 2015 from West Virginia University.  I love this place and I love this town.  I cried that evening when I got home, realizing just how much it captured my heart.  WVU will always be in my soul.  Tradition is that when WVU wins, Take Me Home, Country Roads is played and everyone sings.  This tradition also applies at graduation.  I was honored to sing this song with my son's graduating class this past May.

A cherished memory: WVU & Baylor

Until next time,
Good night!
